Joe Fenton started drawing only a year and a half before he produced the Solitude.
It was born out of an idea to put together a large scale drawing of different religious references like a "Ganesh-like character, a grinning Buddha, or a faint crucifix adorning a rooftop in the far distance."
Joe, 43 is an English artist, designer, sculptor and illustrator who works in monochrome using graphite, ink and acrylics mostly on paper. It took him 10 months to create this personal project measuring 5 ft high and 8 ft across.
